The prostate is a small gland encircling the urethra, early signs of problems when enlarged, may include a change in force or amount of urinary stream, or needing to get up frequently at night to urinate. Did you know that African-American men are 1.8 times more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer and 2.0 times more likely to die from prostate cancer than white men? African-American men are more likely to be diagnosed with a more aggressive form of prostate cancer than white men. Although the survival rate for African-American men has steadily increased over the years, it is still good to know your facts. Learn more about prostate cancer below!
